TruStile Doors launched Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood doors to an eager audience at last week’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Phoenix, AZ. TruStile’s new offering fills a critical need in the FSC-certified market for high-quality, design-oriented doors available in any wood species. FSC certified wood doors supplement TruStile’s existing Green MDF door line, which is third-party certified to contain 82-percent recycled material. With FSC certification, TruStile is now the leader in Green, environmentally-friendly doors for both painted and stained applications. Established to promote sustainable forest management, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) offers a widely recognized certification system accrediting responsible companies with wood product certification. Trustile’s FSC certification indicates that our wood doors meet superior social and environmental market standards—and that our products benefit both people and our environment.
TruStile’s FSC certification required an intensive audit by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), a global leader in third-party environmental and sustainability auditing and certification. SCS worked with TruStile to verify that the materials used to produce TruStile wood doors originate from well-managed forests, controlled sources or recycled wood fiber.
While it’s becoming increasingly popular for all building products manufacturers to make “Green” product claims, TruStile supports our environmental products with independent third-party certifications.
