Updated Quote Validation Requirement Process Implemented
As you know we are constantly improving our TruQuote software both in terms of usability for our customers as well as back-end operations automation. This effort requires product rules be updated as well, and we want to ensure customers always have the latest product rules for active quotes to prevent order placement or product configuration issues. To help with this, we will now require periodic quote validation if a quote has lines that have not been validated since the latest software release. How this will work is upon entering an existing quote that has outdated lines, the following pop up will appear:
By clicking “Yes”, your quote will automatically be validated and once completed, you will be able to continue making updates to your quote. We always recommend that you do this, but we understand that you may just need to quickly reference something in the quote and would like to validate later. By clicking “Later”, the quote will not be updated and print functionality will be disabled, but you will still be able to access your quote.
Please note if you click “Yes” you may have some lines may turn red requiring that line to be modified because a product rule has changed on that particular line, and you’ll need to reselect some options.
This should happen rarely, but if it does, simply click on “Modify Line” and when the advanced options screen pops up, click “Continue”.
This will guide you through the required updates you will need to make to enable that line to then process correctly.
