Rebekah Scott Hall
LEED Platinum Renovation of a Historic Building
In 2018, Agnes Scott College completed a major renovation of Rebekah Scott Hall, a historic Italian Renaissance Revival building constructed in 1905-06. The project modernized the 47,000 sq. ft. building to provide a welcome center and admissions offices on the lower level, with student housing on the upper floors.
Rebekah Scott Hall has been certified LEED Platinum by the U.S. Green Building Council and received recognition for second place in the Community Impact Award category in the 2018 Georgia Green Awards. Formaldehyde-free TruStile MDF doors were selected to help achieve indoor environmental quality ratings. A standard profile of Bolection (BM) moulding and Senior Raised (E) panel, combined with custom panel shapes, created unique door styles which relate to the building’s original historic doors while remaining fresh and modern.
